R.E.M.T.C. Specialized Equipment:

In addition to a complete inventory of standard materials and equipment (i.e., Levels A, B, C, and D PPE; flak jackets; Firepel Series 700 Heat Reflective Proximity Suits; Nomex fire and acid resistant undergarments; respirators; air monitoring instruments; drum carts; field sampling kits; DOT-approved packaging materials, containers, and drums; spill response kits, first aid kits, etc.), R.E.M.T.C. owns and operates several specialty units designed specifically for handling highly reactive and explosive compounds.

Remote Opening Explosion Containment Chamber: Since the highest degree of risk in handling compressed gas cylinders and containers of shock-sensitive, explosive, and reactive chemicals occurs during opening, R.E.M.T.C. has installed its remote opening equipment inside a custom-designed, portable explosion containment chamber. This chamber, which is unique in the industry, ensures the safe, remote opening of cylinders and containers, and allows R.E.M.T.C. to conduct high hazard remediation work in densely populated, urban areas without the risk of an uncontrolled reaction.

PORTABLE INCINERATOR Portable Thermal Destruction Unit (MTDU-1):
Model (MTDU-1) For Sale

R.E.M.T.C. owns and operates a compact, portable incinerator for the controlled burning and destruction of small caliber ammunition, flares, and a variety of other reactive materials which cannot be deactivated or stabilized using other available technologies.

REACTIVE CHEMICAL
CONTAINMENT CHAMBER:

used to open, test, stabilize
reactive and unknown chemical.

Mobile Laboratory (Scrubber Unit): R.E.M.T.C.'s Lexane® glove box offers a shock-resistant environment under inert atmospheric conditions in which to handle compressed gas cylinders. To prevent accidental venting of cylinder contents, the unit is equipped with portable compact Mystaire® waterweb scrubbers, wet/dry combination. Level "B" protection can be utilized during operation of the mobile laboratory to further enhance worker safety.

Thermal Destruction and Oxidizer Unit (MTDU-2):
Model (MTDU-2) For Sale

R.E.M.T.C.'s proprietary, one-of-a-kind, portable (trailer-mounted) Thermal Oxidizer system is used to dispose of ammunition, flares, CN-CS grenades, old ether and other reactive and explosive materials while eliminating the release of pollutants and contaminants into the atmosphere. The system includes a four foot, secondary combustion chamber; and propane primary and secondary burners mounted on the R.E.M.T.C. portable thermal destruction unit (MTDU-1). A continuous feed tube allows for constant operation without the need for frequent shut down for loading and cleaning. (Pictured above Thermal Destruction & Oxidizer Unit)

UXO Detector (GL72CG): R.E.M.T.C. owns, operates, and trains personnel in the use of the GL72CG Ordnance Locator. This equipment can detect ordnance to depths of over 12 inches. The GL72CG is the standard equipment required by the United States Army Corps of Engineers for UXO work.

The portable thermal destruction units (MTDU-1) and thermal destruction and oxidizer units (MTDU-2) are for sale. Click on these links for details. Model (MTDU-1) | Model (MTDU-2) Other equipment is available for rent or sale, depending on the item.

Additional information about any of the specialty equipment described above will be made available upon request. A complete equipment list also is available for review including robotic and video monitoring equipment for handling of highly dangerous materials. Leasing and or purchasing of specific items is possible.
